How do you know they could produce it "whenever they like"? Intel's Prescott
will have x86-64 support built into the chip but it will be disabled. Plus it's
just now getting into the silicon stage. No way it'll be mass produced any time
real soon.

Also let me remind you. There are *MANY* single/dual/quad opteron/clawhammer
systems out there now that AMD is sending to developers and various companies
(like Dell) to evaluate.

I do hope Intel comes out with something that can match the Hammer at least a
while after the Hammer is released. The more AMD and Intel have cpu price wars
with eachother the more we (consumers) win. :)
