Deep Fritz is not going to beat Kramnik in the Berlin.
The most rational alternative is the Scotch game.  I play the Scotch regularly
but I know there are very positional lines that black can choose that might suit
Kramnik just fine.
Would DF take a chance and play the Vienna?  Might be worth a shot.  Otherwise
have to bite bullet and open d4.  Fact is, if a player wants to play
postionally, then you have to suck it up and play postionally also.  IF DF can't
do this - then it doesn't "deserve" to win.
