Top GMs lose to computers almost exclusively due to one of these two things: 1) Going against better judgement and taking risks, or 2) Suffering a human lapse in focus (i.e., blundering tactically) Almost never do you see a top GM lose to a computer because the computer outplayed the GM positionally. Likewise, almost never do you see a top computer lose to a human due to being out-calculated in a complex tactical position. The computer will lose due to already-recognized weaknesses that pretty much all chess programs suffer. With 7 more games, who can say how many times Kramnik will decide to take unnecessary risks (like Christiansen did) in good posiitons? Or how many times Kramnik will simply lose focus and blunder? Admittedly, he's the least likely of the top GMs to make these all-too-human mistakes, but that doesn't mean it won't happen at all. In fact, I predict one or both of these things WILL occur in the match at least once.
