Hi Frank,
Nice job. However I'm curious about one point, well more than one but
I'll limit this too one.

from http://www.playwitharena.com/

"18. Interview team:
About the opening book Ruffian uses: While some people are full of praise,
others seems to think that your book is more of a handicap than a help for
Ruffian. Do you do a lot of work on the opening book or do you have a friend who
works as a "book cooker" (book author)? Has the opening book been created in
conjunction with the engine or is it a seperate working process?

Per-Ola Valfridsson (Ruffian):
I haven't spent any time to create an opening book for Ruffian. The opening book
is automatically generated from a rather small pgn file. It has not been
customized for Ruffian. I wouldn't mind if someone with interest in opening
books created a Ruffian book. I have received some offers since Ruffian was
released."

As I posted previously and proved version 1.0.0 when released had modified book
moves identical to Fritz 7.ctg. The previous version (see games below) openings
did not contain these moves;

So it would appear that someone did infact customize it prior to Ruffians
release. Simply check the PGN with Ruffians current book and compare what was
played to what is now listed.

Also this "small pgn" any idea if it will become available as from what I've
seen this is no weak book.
