we had many "strange" games here in europe, you maybe remember the company MEPHISTO . their computers played sometimes a draw, although the programs were not that strong. IMO those games at those times were NOT real games. KASPAROV e.g. behaved the same way "strange" when he changed his playing style. if he would have continued the playing style , like kramnik in the first 4 games, he and kramnik would have won. but --- instead they made the show ! thats part of the game IMO. part of the deal. without show, no deal. this is all not about chess. it is about marketing. kasparov gave his name for a company and a whole computer generation got the name KASPAROV. Karpov gave his name too in the first years. this was all done for money. these grandmasters want to make money. nothing against this "target". but when in games they play suddenly the ELO-level drops arround 600 ELO and they lose, or NEARLY lose, it has IMO nothing to do with humans doing mistakes. its a deal. its like wrestling. nobody is really killed. its only a game. an arranged fight.
