Bo,

Kramnik did not play his best chess in this match. Why should he? If he beat
Deep Fritz like a dog would ChessBase ever want him to play again? It is easy
for the big boys to play less than perfect chess and have 99.99% of chess
players not see the defects.

Kramnik did not throw the match but he also didn't try very hard to win it. It
was a pleasant diversion for him. He won less money but then he will have fewer
taxes to pay. He also got respect from all parties by being a nice guy.
