I agree the 8 hashtable experiment games should not count but I think the many
of the other should.
I just ran a 20 game 2/0 tournament. Each had their own opening book, perm brain
turned on this time and again 192 MB Hash for Fritz 7 and 16 MB Hash for Deep
Fritz 7 here are the results

I'll try this same experiment with Permanent Brain off next time around as
suggested for engine tournamnents on 1 pc.
Then I will try another 2 minute time control with normal Hash settings.
I don't doubt that DF7 is stronger than F7 but it does not seem to be the case
on my PC. I thought 192 MB Hash would be much to high for a 2 minute game. Of
course if the above was only 15 round tournament the score would have been a
blowout with DF7 9.5 to F7 5.5.
So of course many many games are required to get an accurate picture of actual
playing strength.
But over and over again DF7 is not showing any Strength increases on MY PC.
I just find it interesting and fun to do comparisons with all kinds of settings.
