There is something I do not get. My machine is a 1.53Ghz Athlon. It runs Crafty typically at 750-800knps. Your quad Xeon 400 is 4x400Mhz = 1.6Ghz. It should be almost exactly as fast. Yet Crafties displayed nps rate is twice of what I get at home (1.5Mnps). -- GCP
