I think Shredder supports up to 8 cpus, not just 4.. Fritz 8 *probably* is
stronger than Shredder 7 (assuming Shredder 7 is running on a single cpu
machine) because Fritz 8 is probably stronger than Fritz 7, which is a very
strong engine... but the two engines' strength is probably really close.. so
either way, you'd have a superb engine.
