It will no doubt be beneficial financially to chessbase(but then they are a business organization and not a charitable one), but it will also be greatly beneficial to the authors of these programmes who may not have the financial horsepower to succeeed as independents in an overcrowded arena.Most of all it will benefit the customers, as in the comfort of their own homes on a single computer they can do very extensive engine vs engine testing using a very large variety of diferent engines. rajen Gupta
