I suspect that when he tries to print the data to a logfile the data will be correct. The data is wrong only when nobody looks at it. I guess that it may be some uninitialized varaible or varaible that is out of bound because otherwise I cannot understand what is the reason that he gets different result for programs that are supposed to be the same.
