Feature.  Things stick around until they are > 36 hours old, then you don't see
them unless you are willing to go to extra work.

Threads tend to disappear unless people respond to them.  Sometimes we lose good
thread this way, but the alternative is to have the index page be miles long.

You can see older stuff by using "Filter Messages".
