This used to be an issue on slower computers and less "optmizied" programming.
I would venture to say that any machine faster than about 1 - 1.5GHz would not
be crippled by giving the engine as much hash as possible (at least for Chesbase
engines...)  At what point does the extra hash size stop offering any
performance gains would be another question...
