first, all this stuff is extremely interesting to read and to follow. Just
before CCT5 I tried some of the ideas of Ed, not all is possible because Quarks
structure differs too much and does not allow everything.

The mate killer seems to work quite fine, I would say it helps around 2-5%.
(Reason could be also that Quarks move ordering is still quite bad) Some other
tricks I have tried out did not work yet, like trick 2 in qsearch, but there is
still a big field to try things out. Main problem in case of Quark is that there
is definitely a rewrite necessary, not because of the ideas of Ed, but I nearly
could not handle anymore the code, through the years it gots way to unclearly...
(to myself... :)
