Hi Jonas, > Can say already that they have benefited from ed's release of his programming > ideas? first, all this stuff is extremely interesting to read and to follow. Just before CCT5 I tried some of the ideas of Ed, not all is possible because Quarks structure differs too much and does not allow everything. The mate killer seems to work quite fine, I would say it helps around 2-5%. (Reason could be also that Quarks move ordering is still quite bad) Some other tricks I have tried out did not work yet, like trick 2 in qsearch, but there is still a big field to try things out. Main problem in case of Quark is that there is definitely a rewrite necessary, not because of the ideas of Ed, but I nearly could not handle anymore the code, through the years it gots way to unclearly... (to myself... :) Greets, Thomas
