Subject: chessmaster 8000 problems

I have 2 problems with this program since upgrading to windows xp.
1) thematic sounds no longer work
2) rated games only select the chessmaster himself

So it's a real pain in the ass. I would upgrade to chessmaster 9000 but i read
the same bug with selecting rated game players exists! Anyone know any
workarounds or can advise on the above? Thanks.
