Soccer can not be played perfectly, even theoretically, with any current
technology (maybe someday we will have robots that can do a brute force search
as in chess of every possible move any other player on the field could make, and
calculate until the end of the game, and have perfect soccer, but not now).
Chess can be played perfectly (at least in theory, so far, given enough time,or
tablebases). When you have computers vs. computers that both play perfectly,
there is no point in having a rule that rewards luck, since there is no luck. Of
course, if we get to the point where computers play perfectly, we may lose
interest in computer vs. computer events, and the problem solves itself :)
