We have traded many e-mails, and have talked about many non-Chessmaster topics. He prefers to remain incognito, not posting to any message boards such as this one, although he regularly vists and keeps up to date on most or all of the important ones. I have no idea if he is going to be involved with CMX000 (as we were calling it). I know that he is providing the engine for the soon-to-be-released PS2 version. Johan became involved with Chessmaster during his days as the engine writer for TASC. TASC supplied The King engine to Mindscape (or was it still the Software Toolworks) for Chessmaster 3000 (I believe) back in 1991. Eventually, TASC went out of business, but Mindscape took on Johan as an independent contractor, which he remains still. He goes to at least two computer chess tournaments a year as a participator, and at least one a year as an observer. And he probably very much appreciates being called a "Mystery Man". :-) jm
