In a way, yes, but it doesn't answer _all_ questions.  For example,
if you interpret 12(6) as 12 plies total, 6 plies in hardware, then
how do you interpret 4(5) that also shows up in their logs?  4 plies
total, with the hardware searching five?  Can't happen with their
parallel algorithm as the ply-1 move list is _always_ searched by
software only.

So, to me, the jury is still out on _exactly_ what 12(6) means,  If it
was always M(N) where N < M, his short answer would make sense.  But
there are plenty of places in the log files where N > M and that makes
no sense at all in the same context.

There are _hundreds_ of 4(5) and 5(5) and other such inconsistent numbers
in their log files...  In light of his explanation, 4(5) would be impossible
(and could be an output bug of course) as would 5(5).

I have no idea what to make of it...
