Yes. On disk, learner enabled, tablebases on CD. Otherwise, Fritz refuses to autoplay. >2)Did you give fritz5 to learn from the ssdf games and from the games that >fritz5 >played in the past before the match? The Powerbook had learned from my own games. The SSDF games were not included. >3)did you use fritz5.03 or fritz5(16 bit)? Neither. The autoplayer version of Fritz 5 I have is dated January 14, 1998. I guess it's Fritz 5.01 >4)Did fritz5 improve significantly in the second half of the match? That's the breakdown: R10 F5 Games 1-10 6 4 Games 11-20 2.5 7.5 Games 21-30 7 3 Games 31-38 4.5 3.5 The first 20 games were played without interruption. In the last 18 games I stopped the autoplaying after game 10, restarted the programs and then played the last 8 games. I did the same experiment at blitz 5 with similar results. A definite improvement in the second half by Fritz 5 when games were played without interruption, and similar results between first and second half when the match is interrupted half way. Either these results are random, or some learning in Fritz 5 stays in memory only. Enrique >Uri
