Ponti Bobs Programm is in C and this is easy to transporte to many platforms, but Fritz5 uses Assembler-Routines I think and those routines must be written new and this is a lot of work for only a very little part of people who use Alpha-Processors. And Fritz is fast, about 368000 N/s (PII450) so it will on Alpha not play much stronger (about 10 Elo), because it will die in the unviersum of searchtree!! G.Mueller
