CB engine match since The King does not use EGTB in the search. I found that The King's time management is considerably faster than CB engines and a lot of times even in a 30 min per side match, The King often has a time advantage during ending games. A Chessbase engine (especially Chess Tiger 15 or Shredder), without EGTB, would stubbornly continue on a seemingly draw position with a slightly advantageous score and would end up losing the game due to time. I thought allowing EGTB for The King (and CB engine) would be fairer in this kind of situations. Now that I know I can't, I am not sure how to be fair anymore in a The King v.s. CB engine match. May be I should blame it on CB engines time management - it is just not as good or as quick as CM 9000. Thanks again, Jim
