The DGT is really beautiful , I did not realize the quality of the DGT board until recenty after acquiring one from our sponsor ICD. The board is a tournament sized of very high quality with normal thickness with just a little plug on the side. With voice move announcemnt, you do not even need to look at the screen. Fritz 8 is the best GUI to use with DGT -- right there you hundreds of different engines to chose from - they have also enhance the drivers and it is no longer necessary to flip the board for playing black or white. F8 also has the best sounding move announcements -- It would even be bigger hit if they could get GK or AK to announce the moves . Also, the board has piece recognition! (besides the auto sensory) - again I did not realize that beforehand- a pleasant surprize - great for setting up positions. Another surprise feature (I'm not in FIDE - I'm sure this is common knowledge for FIDE members) - you do not need to plug it to a computer - you can use the board in a OTB tournament setting and it will record the game for you in its memory - than next time you're hook it up to a computer, you just download it in. It holds up to 5 games. Now I wondered why I waited so long to get one. Michael
