Was that not because of a missed evaluation?  IE someone looked at the "drawn
ending position" and discovered that it was winnable.  But Fritz thought it was
worse and therefore chose to follow the drawing line...

It's not hard to fiddle with the evaluation to make it favor draw once you see
deep enough to equalize the material...
