Are you matching SmarThink with Fritz8-Book against Ruffian with Ruffian book? That would be unfair. I bet 10 Posts (Jorge Pichard is a hero) if SmarThink will win a match against Ruffian 1.01 of 50 games, if both engines are using the same book and the same hash-amount. regards Joachim Rang On June 03, 2003 at 07:58:05, Jorge Pichard wrote: >On June 03, 2003 at 07:22:03, Drexel,Michael wrote: > >>On June 03, 2003 at 06:54:14, Joachim Rang wrote: >> >>>On June 03, 2003 at 06:47:31, Drexel,Michael wrote: >>> >>>>You cant match two programs and state that the program which wins >>>>the match is stronger. >>>>Is that so hard to understand? >>>>Smar Think is clearly weaker according to ratinglists which are based on much >>>>more games than 20. > >What Rating List, a Winboard Rating List, using WB SmarThink with a weak >Opening book, and not the version that works under CB using either Deep Fritz or >Fritz8.ctg ? > > >>>actually it is a good poitn to start.
