Deep BASIC was my first attempt at writting a chess program so it was a case of working things out as I went along and keeping things simple. All I did was read an article on how minimax works and how alpha beta works then applied my own iterpretation of those articles in my program. But now that I have experience writting a chess program, I think I would do things a little different. Cheers, Tom.
