First: I love the new platform! I was ready to buy one, dual 2 GHz + 2 GRam, today!!! But they wouldn't sell me one! Bastards. I was in the San Jose, Valley Fair mall Apple store this morning with the plastic at hand ... but, noooo. :-/ Perhaps this is better though, I can wait for the 3 GHz next year! Second: The benchmarks were misleading (!) and in some cases bordered with fraud. ;( I'm with you on how nasty it feels to be lied to ... ! Third: OSX 10.3 is super nice and the developer tools make it worth the money (for the entire new mac) ... .... I would love to run my chess move generator (altivec only) on one of those noise makers! :) ... 9 fans all going on/off at will. That would be interesting to experience. Technically it is the first 64 bit DESKTOP in the world, the others were Workstations. This is of course a matter of semantics and I dislike that Apple (S.J.) is using it in such way.
