It only hit home in the sense that Deep Sjeng is one of the best new commercial
engines out there. It much stronger than the "free" Sjeng engine. The
comparision should not have been made to CM6K - two totally different chess
products. The GUI - Chesspartner GUI should be compared to F8 or possibly Arena
- but not to CM6k. CM6K was strictly a one engine interface. I did not
purchase a Cm product until their engine was made Winboard compatible. A lot or
people on this forum are into engines vs engines - we collectively very
protective of our favorite engines and we are loyal to the bone.

Using the word "sucks" , showed a great deal of disrepsect to the author of
Sjeng. He's on this board on a semi-regular basis and has devoted alot of time
to his product.

Prior to your post, you have much of your time, harking Excalibur products. But
you never disclosed your relationship with Excalibur. If you are going to hark
Excalibur products on your website or here, you should disclose whether or not
you have a financial interest in Excalibur. If you have none - state it - if
you have one - state it. You present Excalibur products as if you are an
independant reviewer - are you ?. If you get paid for your review or get "test"
units for free - that should be indicated in your review as a matter of ethics.
I have no clue whether you are or not - and since I do not know - I am
suspicious of why your reviews of Excalibur products are so gushing (from my
perspective -- I am not a big fan of Excalibur units).

Bottom line - what was said and posted is over with - nobody is going to keep
flaming you for your one silly little "troll like" post. Come back more often,
post some of the good games with the Excalurbur units. Run a handheld tourney
and post the results. Tell us why you do not like the CP GUI -- just give it a
little more meat. Post some of your good games with CM6K. Post as much want
about computer chess - but don't come on this board and flame one our member's
chess program by " it sucks big time" and without expecting at least a little
bit of flack.
