Subject: Average Engine but a fascinating game !

Hi

Just thought I would post this game as it is easily the most interesting game my
engine has played to date. It is my favourite even though I lost this one. The
opponent was Gerbil(Black) Bruce Moreland's average strength program.
My program is usually not particularly attacking but seemed to be in a bed
temper and really aggressive mood today ;-)
After 29 moves it had got Gerbil cowering in the corner with a strong kingside
attack, all blacks major pieces on 6 adjacent squares. Here is the position if I
can get this thing to display

[D]4rqn1/p3brk1/R5p1/6Bp/1p5Q/1B1R4/PPP2PPP/6K1 w - - 0 30

Then my program then played Rxg6+ on move 30.

Obviously this was a stupid move, throwing away the rook, which then led to my
program losing. Must be yet another bug for me to fix.

Or was it ? Studying this in more detail with CM9000 was very interesting.

I will leave you to ponder this move, is it a winning or losing move ?

White's follow up move 31. d3g3 is the other interesting move in the sequence

I don't normally enjoy losing games, but this one was fun !
