It is impossible to tell if the installer makes any attempt to find out what the PalmOS machine to be hotsynced is. (This can be done; my Linux experiences showed that, on first hotsync, an ID specific to the PalmOS machine type is transferred to the PC). I have a feeling this saga will be like that of Pocket Chessmaster, where it took until version 1.5 for a viable package to appear :( Alastair
