Hi Frank,
I bought the "Chess Mentor for Advanced Players" package, and thought it was
an excellent instructional tool. It gives you informational messages when you
make a wrong selection to tell you why it was not the best choice. I also like
that you can ask for hints if you need them, so that you can still figure out
the answer. And if you miss a question (or don't score high enough based on the
time it takes you to answer or whether you needed hints or not), it will
randomly pop up again and again until you get it right.

I bought the course directly from their web site with no problems.

I do have a couple of the Convekta training tools (Strategy and CT-ART). I
find the Chess Mentor exercises provide more explanations/information about the
move. On the other hand, you can play from both the white and black positions
with some of the Convekta tools, and that makes for an interesting way to
prevent problems from happening.

It really does boil down to a matter to choice, and what you hope to get out
of the software.

Good luck,
Brian
