You need to be seriously naive to believe this.

Kasparov was involved in the original ChessBase program (as Friedel likes to
tell) when he was not more than a boy, and he's been since playing privately and
publicly all the important programs. I could gather from his remarks that he's
familiar with programs he's never publicly played, like MChess and Shredder.

In one of the drafts of the rules, he wanted to neutralize specifically the
KQKQx tablebases. He had no problem with the rest.

He's the inventor of "advanced chess" and has played some public events of it.

He's in contention to be the world's most sophisticated computer chess user.
