About 2 hours, after I received the Millenium package (with Shredder 5, SOS and WB-Nimzo), I could play the first engine game with my engine in UCI mode vs. Shredder. Of course, some issues that where raised here, are correct (non "standard" pondering, learning) are correct. But to get the basic functionality seemed as easy as possible. My "main playing loop" is about an order of magnitude smaller (and much easier to follow) in UCI mode, than in WB-mode. Regards, Dieter
