I am after a freeware program that is strong and a standalone (does not require winboard or any other support software. I have GNU Chess 4.14 for windows, which has its own nice interface. also a orogram called Chess-it by yoto yotov, which is also nice. I have got Arasan but the pieces annoy me and I hate looking at it for long. Deip and Diogenes I have tried and do not like. Can anyone tell me another freeware program which has a nice interface And can the peices on Winboard have an outline, because without an outline not many other colours suit well in regard to the board squares Thanks for any help you might be able to give
