My suggestion for the future development of Chessbase (the product, not the
company) is quite simple: kill it! We don't need a Chessbase 9.

Why do I say that? Quite simple... in the early days of its development Fritz
had very limited database capabilities. If I remember correctly, in Fritz 1 the
maximum size of a database size was 3000 size and there were no nested
variations. Each subsequent version of Fritz loosened the restrictions and added
new capabilities. So why not incorporate the last remaining features of
Chessbase 8 into Fritz 9, add forget about ever updating Chessbase?

Comments welcome.....
