Subject: Hiarcs8 Bareev stronger than Hiarcs9?

Hello every body, i just got the H9. It seems that these engines are very
strong.
After a 10 RR match between a new setting for Shredder7.04 H9 and H8Bareev, i
saw that H8Bareev has a much much aggressive style of play than H9. It tied 5-5
against Sh7.04 while H9 lost by 2.5-7.5.
When i analyse these games more carefully, i see very good things in the play of
these two new engines. I really like them. Serious testing is needed to know
their real strength. The disaster performance of H9 is certainly due to the fact
that it was a blitz game match.
I used for the three engines my modified Nunn Testset (www.chesslovers.tk) so
that to avoid big influence of the opening books and to see the skills of the
engines.

Just one thing, Human vs Machine matches are really very interesting for me,
because i like the computer games especially against strong humans. I also like
the fact to have many engines on the same CD (like the experience with Deep
Junior8). The variability between the different engines even if they don't have
the same strength (there are weaker and stronger engines) is very interesting.
It holds all my interests and give me great moments by making tournaments with
new very strong engines. I encourage and send a message to Mr Stefan
Meyer-Kahlen (Shredder programmer) and Mr Christophe Theron (Tiger) to tell them
to make matches against strong chess players, but also to release two or threee
or may be four different engines (even a little bit weaker beta engines but who
works!!). These engines will participate to make the pub for their leading
product because it will result to a bigger discussion on the strength of the
different engines, but also to a greater number of games.

Hope that you agree with me

NB: The mentioned games aren't yet posted on my homepage. Wait for the next
up-date!
