Hi Sarrah I'm happy to see that u are still making your tests, but i wonder that these tests will be soon released on your home page, in fact the last up-date of your site at geocities.com is from October 2002. I agree with the fact that Hiarcs9 and H8Bareev are almost of the same strength. I think that H8Bareev could be named Gambit Hiarcs9 because it's more agressive than H9. This is natural because of the Top anti-GM style to counter Bareev (agressivness is always requested against more stronger opponents to gave a chance to win). This means automatically that the H9 Book doesn't really fit the style of H8Bareev. I'm quite sure that there was a special book for it during the match and we will not see such a book in any commercial CD (secret++). We could not set any definitive conclusion with My little tournament test because the number of games are only a 10 RR match. I'll make the same thing (200 games against each engine) with the Learn Option On and Off to see the most performant Learn Option (that of Shredder or of Hiarcs). I have a little idea on the latter, i think that the Hiarcs Learn Option is more acute!!
