Steven J. Brann, using CM9k, has posted good evidence that 1.Nh5+ is actually
BETTER than 1.Nxh7.  The key is to play the crushing 3.Nf6! (NOT 3.fxg6)
followed by 4.Rf3!

Show your engine this line and I think you'll see it is indeed at least a little
better/faster than 1.Hxh7 (which is also crushing, of course):

1. Nh5+ Kh8 2. Qh6 Rg8 3. Nf6! Rg7 4. Rf3! Qb3 5. Rdf1
