No, it didn't. Anand lost a few blitz games, with no increment. In at least 1
game, Anand lost on time in a superior position. Anand beat Rebel 1.5-0.5 at
the same type of time control that Deeper Blue beat Kasparov 3.5-2.5. Those
matches were played at the internationally accepted OTB time control of 2 hours
for 40 moves, or something very close to that.

"Speed" is playing strength, for computers. If what you mean by playing
strength is quality of evaluations, then no one knows, because a 4,000 pound
gorilla does not have to evaluate as well as a "RoboSmurf" to outperform it.
