I did some research on a magnet, which used 10 MW (not too far away from your GW). It was not really huge (perhaps 2 m^3 volume, probably less). All the power was literally burned (super conduction does not work anymore at those high fields). This rather small devices, that was more or less an oven with 10 MW power could be cooled (certainly lots of water was needed - IIRC in the order of 1000 l/s). Regards, Dieter
