I thought I wrote a good post about this in September.

It is not the moderators' job to arbitrate minor disputes between members, if
the CCC charter is not used to arbitrate them.

It should not be possible for two or more members to make recognized agreements
that amend or abrogate the CCC charter as relates to these members. And by that
I mean that it should not be possible for two members agree that any contact
between them should be considered abuse, nor should it be possible for two
members to agree that they can abuse each other without being subject to
moderation.

It is just too confusing to try to do anything else. If someone wants to create
a complex agreement like this, where any sort of contact is considered abuse,
then they can always enforce it outside of CCC, without involving the
moderators.

What I saw in that particular case was an abusive post asking for moderation
because someone else posted something that wasn't abusive, and I responded on
that basis.
