Yep, you see the countdown.  Really, you don't know that it's a "hack" approach
at all -- you never see the "zero" time control, because if it hits zero, it
signals game over.  Like I said though, if you don't have the clock yet
(guessing only because you're asking if I'm happy with it), the newer ones have
this mode built in.

As for my happiness: very happy, I have not found a time control I cannot do --
if it's not 'native', it can be emulated, such as this method we're discussing
now.  It's not the prettiest of clocks, for sure, but I took care of that:
