well, i certainly don't NEED a stronger engine in the way i need air for
breathing. but i often analyse stuff with chessbase (mostly my own games), and
i'd much rather use fritz for this than crafty. i just find it to be faster and
better for this purpose. and if i find an engine that is significantly better
than the fritz 7 i'm using now, i will gladly shell out the $$$ for that too. i
guess all strong chessplayers (and there are quite a few here) feel the same
about this...
