Mindscape has never contacted me concerning testing of the Chessmaster programs.

Johan de Koning emailed me concerning King 2.5(?) at a time when we had started
to test CM5000 manually on P90. If I understood him correctly the engines in
these programs were identical or very similar. Neither of them could be tested
using auto232. We had no possibility to play manually with both of them, so we
declined his offer to send us the King-program and continued to play with
CM5000.
