utility.c is also in the Crafty source.

The author might have used some Crafty sources for
first private versions.
Maybe he has completely rewritten them before he released a public version.

However the complainant who discovered this on November 23 is a chess
programmer.
I assume this finding has encouraged him to search more evidence.
