I feel your pain.  The only Internet connection I have at home is by
connecting my Macintosh PowerBook to my mobile phone, which gives me
something like 14 kb/s ...   :-(

I'll try to avoid it as long as possible, of course, but sooner or later
I'm afraid the opening book format will change anyway.  I apologize for
the inconvenience, but this is the price you have to pay for using a
0.x version.  ;-)

But anyway, future versions will almost certainly include the possibility
to build your own opening books from PGN files.  If you have a sufficiently
big PGN database somewhere on your hard disk, you will never have to download
the opening book again.
