It has not revolutionized Gothmog by any means, but based on several hundred
games it seems to better than plain R=3 (which previously was the best setting
for
me) by about 20 Elo points.

There is also still lots of scope for tuning and experimentation, which makes me
optimistic concerning the potential of the idea.
