?

When Mchess plays 38 moves out of book while hiarcs was out of book in move 23
and the score is -4.89 in move 38 i do not call this book preparation.

This is the usage of auto232 games , inserting them into a book and by this
method getting some more points in sweden.

it is not unfair to discuss the sense of those kind of pre-outplayed games.
if i would be a programmer and my program would run into such a pre-arranged
game, i would be unhappy too.

I do critisize when i see tht somebody is doing a mistake. or is behaving
against the law or the rules, or is doing a mistake by wrong ethics.

right. but this was the hardware in those days.

sandro, i have nothing against shredder. IMO shredder was the strongest program
in the tournament.
but it got the title based on a wrong decision.

and this is not good for nobody.

BTW: i don't think that shredder7.04 is the best engine in the moment,
i think hiarcs9 is stronger (you only have to change 2 switches).

we will see how or if the next shredder can change this.
