Subject: Congratulations to Fritz and List

Author: José Carlos

After reading all the informations that have appeared here and on internet,
I've made my opinion, which I want to express here, not for discussing it
further (I think all of this has been discussed enough) but just to say what I
think.

  - List has been unfairly disqualified. Unless ICGA shows the "evidence" and it
really is strong enough, really strong, I won't change my mind. Nobody has to
prove inocent. Everybody is inocent unless proven guilty. Asking for source code
is saying "prove your inocence". Absolutely unacceptable unless, as I say,
there's really strong evidence against List.

So here my sincere congratulations for List. It has proven to be able to
compete at the highest level.

  - When an engine plays under a GUI, they're both the-software-that-is-playing.
Either forbit Johnny to use Fritz GUI or let the GUI be part of the participant
Johnny. If the GUI claims the draw, the operator can't change that. Period. If
Shredder has bugs, bad luck. If the bug shows up at the opening hanging a piece
or at the end repeating positions is absolutely irrelevant. The bugs are part of
the program. Fix it or face the comsecuences.

So my congratulations for Fritz for being the TRUE champion. It played well
and bug free, as a world champion must do.

  José C.
