That sums up most of the reasons for our "disagreements", really.  I would
probably never accept a job where I had to use an environment somebody else
has set up.

Been there, but in my experience emacs always worked well even when I had
to connect using ssh on my PowerBook with a mobile phone.

What is considered "bad notation" depends on the community.  In the Lisp
community, of course, closing multiple braces on the same line is something
*everybody* *always* does.  And as I've already said, I'll never allow
anybody to pay me to write code in any C-like language anyway.
