I agree with you.

There are also a lot of countries where the standard computer is still the 286
PC. There are places where young people will only have access to such computers
to learn how to program, and I don't see why they would not succeed. Personnaly
I learned to program on much weaker hardware, so why not?

I also think it is more difficult and interesting to write a decent chess
program on old hardware, and I hope someday we will see a "386-33 World
Microcomputer Chess Championship". I would enter Tiger in this tournament today
without hesitation (and would get my ass kicked by Genius maybe, but it would be
really interesting).

Anybody wants to join the club?

Could somebody owning 2 386 PC (same speed) or more organize Auto232 matches? I
would be glad to send my program and see the results.
